UPSE and UPSEAA congratulate the first Asian female to be appointed to the board of directors of ICANN – Judith Duavit-Vazquez.
The ICANN, or the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers, is the international body “dedicated to keeping the internet secure, stable and interoperable,” It coordinates the addresses or unique identifiers which we type into the computer to enable global communication to happen.
Judith is an active member of UPSE Batch 1984, the batch that mounted an entertaining extravaganza during its Silver Jubilee two years ago and donated a classroom to the School. The classroom is known as the “Judith Duavit Vazquez and Class 1984 Lecture Room 105” in recognition of Judith’s major contribution to the fund raising efforts.
