The application process in ETC commences with a brief orientation about the organization's nature, goals, committee functions, and officers.

Alliance Speak-Up
Every semester, ETC holds an alliance speak-up as part of its application process, an event wherein the organization's alliances (ALYANSA, FDC, and JPES) are introduced to the applicants. Alliances discuss their respective histories, objectives and activities.

Leadership Training Seminar

This seminar, organized by the Membership Committee, is open to the current members and applicants of the organization. It aims on building the leadership potentials of the attendees as well as strengthening the cohesiveness of the organization.

Peso Appreciation: A Two-Edged Sword
As the inaugural of the Perspectives Symposium Series, this educational discussion aims to discuss the issue on who truly benefits and loses with peso appreciation and its overall effect at the national level.

Econ-tention: The 5th Inter-HS Debate Tournament
Econ-tention is a debate tournament open to all high schools in the NCR. Participating teams are first invited to attend a seminar, scheduled a week before the competition, to orient them with the debate format and rules to be used. This is then followed by the elimination and final rounds. Topics are aimed to cultivate interest and awareness of economic concepts and current economic concerns among our high school students. At least 20 teams, each comprising 3 students, are expected to compete for the championship.

Alumni Night
The ETC Alumni Night is the culmination of our week-long anniversary celebration
come February.
It serves as a gathering of the ETC alumni, now working in multinational companies, government agencies, or NGOs, giving them a chance to meet the resident members and to get updates about the organization's current endeavors.

The Brick Wall: Hindrances to Development in the Philippines
This is the finale of the Perspectives Symposium Series. This educational discussion seeks to identify factors that hinder economic progress and development, its implications and what can be done about it.

  Discussion Groups (DGs)
In discussion groups (DGs), members apply concepts learned from the classroom as they talk about current relevant issues. A facilitator researches on the topic and presides over the discussion. A DG may be to disseminate information, to solicit opinions or to come up with a stand. There are also open DGs, wherein non-members are invited to participate. At least one DG is expected each month.
 
  Every Thought Counts
The official organ of UP ETC is published two to three times a semester. In addition to this, a literary folio will be produced at the end of the semester.
 
  The 3rd Perspectives Symposium Series
The Perspectives is an annual symposium series that promotes consciousness on issues relevant to the community.

Since its inception, the project has been successfully in transpiring the multiplicity of ideas from respected and reliable speakers through educational discussions tackling significant and  interesting economic issues.

Our past educational discussions were attended by not only by students and professors of the UPSE but from other universities and colleges as well.
